On May 19, 2025, the Russia Centre of Science & Culture (RCSC), together with the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) and Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), held the opening ceremony for the “Russia’s Inbound Tourism: Specialties & Opportunities” workshop.
The event aims to share knowledge and skills in tourism while helping students and lecturers build professional connections.
The ceremony featured speeches from Mr. Andrey Potemkin (Director of RCSC), Mr. Benjamin Leong (Deputy Managing Director of ICCCM), and Mr. Norman Bin Harun (Deputy Director of Academics at PUO).
Mr. Potemkin thanked the co-organizers and shared his joy in seeing the workshop successfully launched. Mr. Benjamin highlighted the importance of cultural exchange in building international relationships. Mr. Norman appreciated the teamwork behind the event and encouraged students to take part actively.
Mr. Ilya, the lead instructor of the upcoming online sessions, gave a short preview of the modules and encouraged participants to stay engaged for the best learning experience.
The workshop promises to be a valuable experience for all involved.
