Cross-cultural understanding and collaboration

The International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) was established in 2009. It was created to promote cultural exchange and enhance international understanding through communication and the sharing of diverse cultural perspectives. The center often focuses on fostering intercultural dialogue, facilitating cross-cultural partnerships, and providing a platform for artistic and intellectual engagement between different nations and communities.

Our Milestones

The International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) has had several milestones that reflect its growth and influence in promoting cross-cultural dialogue and international understanding. Here are some key milestones in its history

Founding Year
(2009)

ICCCM was established in 2010 to promote cultural exchange and facilitate global communication across cultures. This marked the beginning of the center's mission to encourage mutual understanding through various cultural initiatives and communication platforms.

First International Cultural Festival (2011)

Hosted first International Cultural Festival, bringing together artists, intellectuals, and cultural representatives from various countries; become one of the center’s signature programs, featuring cultural performances, workshops, and exhibitions from around the world.

Global Cultural Leadership Program (2015)

Entered into a strategic partnership with UNESCO in 2013. This collaboration allowed the center to expand its activities on a global scale and align its goals with UNESCO’s mission of promoting peace and international cooperation through culture and education.

Cultural Diplomacy Awards
(2017)

The Cultural Diplomacy Awards were introduced in 2017 to recognize individuals, organizations, and governments that have made significant contributions to global cultural diplomacy. These awards highlight the role of culture in fostering international relations and understanding.

Expansion of Digital Platforms (2020)

During the global pandemic in 2020, ICCC expanded its digital platforms, launching virtual events, webinars, and online exhibitions. This allowed the center to continue its mission of promoting cultural exchange even in the face of physical limitations and travel restrictions.

ICCC Cultural Exchange Program (2021)

In 2021, ICCC launched the Cultural Exchange Program, which facilitated artistic residencies, student exchanges, and collaborations between cultural institutions globally. This program strengthened the ties between artists, scholars, and institutions across different continents.
