From 8–15 June 2026, a delegation from Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), Malaysia, participated in the International English Boost Camp hosted by Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY), Indonesia, under a collaborative initiative aimed at empowering young communicators and building confidence in English communication.

The official visit to UPY was attended by PUO representatives Mr. Muhammad Zaki bin Yahaya, Program Leader; Ms. Norfadzlinda binti Ishak, International Liaison Officer; and Ms. Rashidah binti Radzi Rasalingam, Main Facilitator. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ir. Paiman, Rector of UPY, alongside Dr. Septian Aji Permana, M.Pd., Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni Relations, and Cooperation, and Drs. John Sabari, M.Si., Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Throughout the programme, students participated in interactive English communication workshops, collaborative projects, presentation challenges, intercultural exchanges, and cultural immersion activities. These experiences enhanced their communication confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, digital competencies, and cross-cultural awareness.

The programme reflects the strong partnership between PUO and UPY in nurturing globally competent graduates who are ready to communicate, connect, and thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
