On 14 September 2026, the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM), International Transnational Education Association (ITEA), and Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA) jointly organized the International Seminar 2026: Empowering Future Graduates Through Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and Sustainable Engineering. The hybrid seminar was held at PSMZA and conducted simultaneously through Zoom, bringing together educators, students, and academic representatives from Malaysia and several international institutions.
The seminar focused on the theme “Empowering the Future Generation: AI, Innovation and Sustainable Engineering in TVET Education.” As digital technologies and artificial intelligence continue to transform industries, the seminar highlighted the important role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in equipping students with the knowledge and competencies needed to navigate Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0.
The programme served as an international platform for knowledge exchange and academic engagement, providing opportunities for participants to explore emerging developments in artificial intelligence, engineering, innovation, and TVET education. It also aimed to strengthen international collaboration, encourage future research and academic partnerships, and promote cross-cultural understanding among participating institutions.
The seminar featured keynote presentations by Ts. Dr. Mohd Hafizil bin Mat Yasin, Deputy Director (Academic) of PSMZA, and Atabaev Odiljon Khusniddin O’G’li, Senior Lecturer of the Information Technologies Department at Andijan State Technical Institute, Uzbekistan. Their participation provided valuable perspectives on technological development, artificial intelligence, and the role of education in preparing future graduates for an evolving global environment.
A student presentation session further strengthened the seminar’s emphasis on student participation and international knowledge sharing. Presentations were delivered by students representing PSMZA in Malaysia, Andijan State Technical Institute in Uzbekistan, APEC PetroTechnic Higher College in Kazakhstan, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in Indonesia, Somali International University in Somalia, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in the Philippines.
The international participation reflected the seminar’s commitment to creating meaningful connections between students and institutions across different countries. Through the exchange of ideas and experiences, participants were given opportunities to broaden their understanding of global technological developments while developing networks for future academic and professional collaboration.
For ICCCM and ITEA, the seminar also represents an important step in advancing internationalization and strengthening cooperation within the TVET ecosystem. The programme provided a platform for institutions to share innovative practices and explore opportunities for continued collaboration in education, research, technology, and student development.
The International Seminar 2026 concluded with closing remarks from ICCCM-ITEA. Through its combination of keynote sessions and student presentations, the seminar contributed to greater international exposure for participants and supported the development of globally oriented, innovative, and adaptable graduates equipped to respond to future challenges in technology and engineering.
